IDR is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst / Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Boston, MA. The organization operates within the healthcare industry, focusing on hospital operations and financial performance. This role involves leading analytical support for long-term strategic programs and financial reporting efforts, providing critical insights to improve hospital operations.
Position Overview for the Senior Financial Analyst / Accountant:
- Leads analytical support for long-term strategic programs.
- Serves as the point person for assigned projects, engaging with stakeholders to define scope and deliverables.
- Conducts complex analyses and prepares journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts and funds.
- Presents findings and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making.
- Leads ad-hoc projects to improve hospital operations and financial performance, mentoring team members in analysis and reporting.
Requirements for the Senior Financial Analyst / Accountant:
- 5 years of previous experience in financial reporting and analysis in a hospital setting.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, and database tools.
- Knowledge of systems, reporting programs, and networks with ability to identify process improvements.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Skilled at evaluating analytics and understanding data content, with strong business acumen.
