IDR is seeking a QA Lab Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, California. This role supports a fast-paced product development environment within the gaming and entertainment industry, helping teams prepare, maintain, and optimize hardware and devices used for testing. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across operating systems, lab equipment, and hardware troubleshooting while supporting broader quality assurance efforts.
Position Overview for the QA Lab Technician:
- Support product and QA teams by building, maintaining, repairing, and deploying hardware and devices for testing needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized, secure, and efficient lab environment for developers and testers
- Partner with internal teams to procure hardware, manage inventory, and prepare systems for ongoing use
- Use testing data and industry trends to identify risks and recommend improvements to system configurations
- Contribute to accessibility and product quality efforts by ensuring devices and environments are ready for effective evaluation
Requirements for the QA Lab Technician:
- 2+ years of relevant experience supporting hardware, lab operations, or technical QA environments
- Strong proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting PC hardware, operating systems, device drivers, and BIOS issues
- Familiarity with gaming hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, and QA or testing processes
- Ability to repair and configure hardware, use deployment or imaging tools, and lift or carry equipment as needed
