IDR is seeking a remote Mainframe Developer to join one of our top clients. This role involves supporting critical state government projects within mainframe environments, providing an excellent opportunity for experienced developers to contribute to impactful initiatives. Position Overview for the Mainframe Developer:
- Analyze business and technical requirements for Mainframe application enhancements and development initiatives
- Coordinate solution design activities and support overall application architecture planning
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement Mainframe application code
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and production support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of Mainframe solutions
Requirements for the Mainframe Developer:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Mainframe applications
- Advanced knowledge of Mainframe architectures and enterprise Mainframe environments
- Must have prior state/government experience
- Advanced understanding of Mainframe hardware platforms
- Strong experience with COBOL and Mainframe/Cobol Rules Mining
