IDR is seeking a DOT Compliance Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role involves administrative management of DOT compliance for a growing fleet of drivers in the transportation industry, ensuring all regulatory documentation and processes are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Position Overview for the DOT Compliance Specialist :
- Manage and monitor DOT compliance documentation for a driver fleet, including qualification files, medical cards, and driver qualification files.
- Coordinate with multiple third-party systems to ensure all records are complete, accurate, and properly tracked.
- Stay current with DOT/FMCSA regulations and communicate updates across relevant teams.
- Conduct compliance audits and support incident investigations related to fleet safety.
- Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, and Safety teams to ensure ongoing program growth and compliance.
Requirements for the DOT Compliance Specialist :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or minimum of 2 years of work-related experience in occupational health and safety or logistics.
- Ability to analytically review data to determine actions/responses to issues or trends.
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Completion of OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA processes and regulations including methods, techniques, and procedures involved in driver DOT compliance.
