Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Business Analyst:
Assists in developing and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives. Analyzes performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement initiatives and reports the results and recommendations to the Business Requirements Manager and Business Automation Director. Performs root cause analysis and the development of appropriate corrective action plans for IT systems and processes. Duties include providing peer reviews of business requirements documentation and coordinating technical writing and editing reviews. Reviews complex project deliverables such as project charters, design documentation, test plans, and risk assessment plans and provide comments and suggestions to document owners. Serves as the lead in producing documentation and expertise in response to internal and external audit requests as required. Prepares and presents complex communications and/or reports on projects, assignments, and/or activities to all levels of staff up to and including executive management

Required Skills for the Business Analyst:

• 4+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT projects
• 4+ years’ experience analyzing and interpreting technical information including regulations, policy, and automation system documentation
• Professional experience supporting State of Texas agencies
